Image thumbnail displays as "?" icon

Photos and video displayed as a "?" in the preview mode are not compatible with the Wii console and cannot be viewed. The Photo Channel can display or play files in the following formats and sizes:

      Size: Up to 8192x8192
    • Video Files:
      Format: Quicktime (motion JPEG)(.mov files)
    • Audio Files:

    • Please Note the Following:

      • Some files in the above formats may not work with the Photo Channel.
      • The audio components of some video files may not be playable.
      • Using an SD Card with slow transfer speed may result in longer load times or irregular video playback.

Can't save changes to photos made in the Photo Channel's "Fun" Mode

Changes you make to your photos or videos in Mood and Doodle modes can only be saved in the Wii Message Board, which saves them to the Wii console's internal memory. You cannot save over photos or videos stored onto an SD Card.

For information on posting photos to the Message Board, click here.
