General Troubleshooting for the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector

To prevent wireless interference of the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector's signal, try the following tips:

• Check the connection between the USB Connector and the PC.

  • Make sure the extension cord that comes with the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector is being used.
  • Plug the extension cord directly to a USB port on the PC (the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector is not compatible with any external port, such as USB hubs, monitors, keyboards, etc.).
  • Try another USB port. If it's connected to the front of the PC, try the back and vice-versa.

• Check for security programs.

  • If you have any security programs on your PC (firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-adware, etc.), try adding the Nintendo USB Registration Tool software to a list of "allowed" programs or "exceptions." If this is unavailable you may want to try and disable the security program to allow the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector access to our servers. (It is up to each consumer to determine the security needs of their network.)

• Try re-installing the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector.
