Important!
During the judging period (approximately one week), users judge the submitted Mii characters. Each user is shown 10 random Mii characters from the pool of all Mii characters submitted, and they then choose the one of those particular 10 Mii characters that best fits the theme of the contest. This process can be repeated an unlimited amount of times during the judging period.
What to do:
- From the Check Mii Out Channel main menu, select "Contest."
- Select "Judge" and a list of contests currently available for judging will be shown. Select the desired contest.
- Press the A Button three times to view a selection of Mii characters available. Select the Mii characters that best fit the contest description, then select "Select this Mii" to select it as one of the three favorites.
- (Select the "Swap Out" icon from the lower-right to view a new random selection of Mii characters (the Mii characters already selected will remain on the screen). A Mii can be selected again and select "Deselect" to remove it.)
- Once all three favorites have been selected, select "Cast a Vote," then "Yes" to complete the Judging process. Press the A Button three times to return to the Judging screen.

What to do:
The results of a contest can be viewed. What is shown will vary depending on whether the contest was entered or judged.
- From the Check Mii Out Channel main menu, select "Contest."
- Select the "Results" button, and a list of contests that have finished judging will be shown. Select the desired contest.
- If a Mii was submitted for the contest, there will be an animation where the Mii runs up a mountain (how far up the mountain the Mii goes represents how well it did). A rank will then be given. Select "Next" to continue.
- If Miis were judged in the contest, there will be an animation where the Miis selected run up a mountain (how far up the mountain the Mii goes represents how well it did). A message will appear stating how well you did at picking Miis. Select "Next" to continue.
- If Miis were submitted or judged, a summary will be shown of the results. Select "Next" to continue.
- If a Mii was submitted for the contest, the opportunity to take a souvenir photo will be given. Press the Control Pad to adjust the pose, then point to where to place the Mii and press A. Repeat with the Mii Artisan, and press A to take the photo.
- The Mii who won the contest will be shown. Select "Congratulations!" to continue.
- The top 50 Miis will be shown in a parade. Select the "Arrange" button on the right to show them all at once instead of in a parade. Select "Back" to return to the Contest screen.

Delete:

Rename:
When saving a web page to your favorites, the default name in the Favorites page is determined by the page's "Title", which is programmed into the page by the web page's designer. By selecting "Rename," you can change the name that is displayed in the Favorites page. When finished, click the "O" Button to confirm.

Move:
Select "Move" to rearrange the order in which the web pages are listed on the Favorites page. To move a page, highlight it with the Wii Remote and press the A Button. Select "Move," then use the Wii Remote to highlight the available space you would like it to occupy. Press the A Button and the Favorite will now appear in the desired box. The Favorite that was previously there will shift to the right.

Cancel:
To exit the Edit Favorites page without making any further changes, select "Cancel."

- If the microphone doesn't seem secure enough, use the additional anti-slip pads on the bottom of the Wii Speak microphone.
Note: For best performance, the Wii Speak microphone should be placed so it sticks out slightly from the front of the television, and it should be aligned with the front surface of the television.

- Do not place the Wii Speak microphone where it will block vents in the television.
- If the top of your television is too rounded or narrow to place the Wii Speak microphone, place it underneath the television and as far away from any audio speakers as possible.
- If you have a center channel speaker on top of the TV, we recommend turning the speaker off when using the Wii Speak microphone. If the speaker is on, the microphone will need to be as far away from the speaker as possible.

- The Wii Speak microphone should be centered on the top of and aligned with the front of the television.
- Make sure the Wii Speak microphone is visible from the front of the television and that nothing is blocking the microphone.

What to Do:

- The Wii Friend will then need to follow steps 1-7 to register your console. After the 2nd registration is complete, it can take up to 10 minutes for the two systems to recognize one another and complete the registration.
- Registration is complete once the name goes from gray to black in the Address Book and you are able to select the name and select "Send Message."

Important Notes about PC and cell phone email addresses:
- To communicate with someone using a PC or cell phone, they must "reply" to an email that is sent from your Wii console once you enter their email address in your Address Book.
- If you are entering a cell phone's email address, it must be the phone's full email address with a "@". For example, 5555555@phonecompany.com. If the owner of the cell phone is not sure if their phone has an email address, they will need to contact their cell phone service provider for more information.
- You may want to inform the person you are adding to your Address Book that they will receive an email from your Wii console with an address that begins with a "w" and contains 16 digits. It will be from "@wii.com" (for example: w1234567891234567@wii.com).
- You will not be able to send photos from your Wii console to the PC/cell phone user.
What to Do:
- Access the Wii Message Board. (How To)
- Select the Create Message icon.
- Select the "Address Book" icon from the available options.
- Move the cursor over "Register" and press the A Button.
- Select "Others" to indicate that you're using an e-mail address, and then select the text field to bring up the Wii Keyboard and enter your friend's e-mail address.

Navigating Messages and Memos:
On the main screen of the message board, new messages received on the current day are displayed. Letters will appear as yellow envelopes, and Memos will appear as white notes.

Description:
Step by step instructions on how to download the Everybody Votes Channel. The Everybody Votes Channel is available through a download in the Wii Channels section of the Wii Shop Channel. It may be necessary to download a system update before the Everybody Votes Channel can be downloaded.
What to do:
- Ensure that the Wii console is connected to the internet. If assistance in needed in connecting the Wii console online, click here.
- Select the Wii Shop Channel from the Wii Menu. If the Wii Shop Channel has not been previously accessed, it will be necessary to read and agree to the User Agreement. For information on locating the User Agreement, click here.
- Once the welcome screen is displayed, select "Start Shopping."
- Select "Wii Channels" from the Wii Shop main menu, and then "Everybody Votes Channel."
- Select "Download" to begin the download process.
- If the button says "Downloaded" when viewing a specific channel, it's already been downloaded to the console.
- Next, select either the "Wii System Memory" or an "SD Card" as the download location.
- Select "OK," then "Yes" to download the channel.
- A screen will appear with Mario running across the screen and three blocks. Mario will hit the blocks as the download progresses.
- When the "Download successful" screen appears, select "OK" to return to the Wii Shop menu.
- After the Everybody Votes Channel finishes downloading, it will be added to the available channels in the Wii Menu.

What to do:
- Access the Everybody Votes Channel. (How to)
- From the Wii console main menu, use the Wii Remote (player 1 only) to select the Everybody Votes Channel, then select Start to begin.
- A message will appear saying, "Set the region where you live." Select "OK" to continue.
- Select the "Change Settings" button from the bottom of the screen, then select the Up/Down arrows to scroll through the list of available regions the country the console has been set to.
- Select "Confirm" to accept the selection, then select "OK" to confirm the region settings.
- The channel will now load. Select "Yes" to confirm the country, then "Yes" again to confirm the region.
- Select the desired language to reach the welcome message. Select "OK" twice to continue.
- A list of Miis from the Mii Plaza will appear. Select the desired Mii, then select "OK" to register that Mii. Repeat with any additional Miis you wish to register, then select "OK."
- Select "OK" again to complete the first time setup and enter the Everybody Votes Channel.
If a message is received stating "You don't have any Mii characters on the Mii Channel. You need a Mii to use this channel," enter the Mii Channel and create a Mii before continuing.
If the error message "Unable to confirm region settings. Return to Wii Operations and perform a Wii system update." appears, follow these steps for performing a system update.

Step by step instructions on how to vote in polls (National and Worldwide) in the Everybody Votes Channel.
What to do:
- Access the Everybody Votes Channel. (How to)
- Use the Wii Remote to select the "Active Polls" or "Worldwide Polls&;quot; options.
- Point the Wii Remote at the question to vote on, and press the A Button.
- The Mii will appear on a color-coded circle. Use the A + B Buttons on the Wii Remote to grab the Mii and place it on to the colored portion of the circle that represents the vote being cast.
- Click "Vote!" to cast the vote. Select "Yes" to confirm.
- Once the vote has been submitted, a message will appear asking "Do you want to predict the response that will get more votes?" Select "Yes" to predict (see below), or select "No" to return to the Everybody Votes Channel main menu.
- The Mii will appear on a multi-colored circle. Use the A + B Buttons to grab the Mii and place them on to the colored portion of the circle that represents the answer to predict as being the most popular.
- Click "Vote!" to cast the vote. Select "Yes" to confirm.
