Set Up of the Wii Balance Board
The Wii Balance Board uses four AA batteries. Use only high quality alkaline batteries for the best play experience and longevity of battery life. Please read the following information carefully.
Important! The Wii Balance Board can not be recognized ("synced") by the Wii system until you have been instructed to sync the Wii Balance Board during the on-screen instructions of the game you are playing (such as Wii Fit).
Installing the Batteries
Important Note: If you would like to use rechargeable batteries, the only type of battery recommended are Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. When it comes to using rechargeable batteries, you must follow manufacturer guidelines for safety and proper usage. Failure to do so could cause damage to the Wii Remote and void the warranty.
