  1. Adjust the color setting in the Options Menu. To access the Option Screen press the START Button. Use Up/Down on the Control Pad to indicate an option, then press the A Button to select it.

     • Sound: Toggles game sounds on and off
     • Clock: Allows you to set the Time, and to set the Alarm.
     • Color: Changes the color level. Slide the bar Left/Right to adjust. Middle is the default.

  2. Try replacing the battery (battery type: CR2032).

  Make sure the "sound" setting in the Options is "on".

  Make sure that Pikachu is securely placed in a vertical position on a part of your clothing that moves when you walk (such as a belt, waistband, or shoe). If he is sideways, the walking meter doesn't register steps. In addition, the pedometer stops registering after you've reached 999,999 steps. This can be corrected by resetting Pokémon Pikachu 2 GS.

• How do I GIVE Watts to Pikachu?
  1. Press the A Button to turn on the screen.
  2. Use Left/Right on the Control Pad to choose the gift box icon at the top of the screen, then press the A Button.
  3. Highlight "Give" and press the A Button.
  4. Press Up/Down on the Control Pad to change the first (hundreds) digit, then press the A Button.
  5. Repeat step #3 for the second (tens) and third (ones) digits. You can give a maximum of 999 Watts at a time.
  6. Press the A Button again to give the Watts to Pikachu.

• How do I SEND data/Watts/custom alarms to a friend?

  • Make sure the Infrared ports are properly aligned. They should be facing each other, and within 2 inches of each other.
  • If the lighting is too harsh (i.e. direct sunlight) the infrared port may not work properly.
  • You can only transfer Watts to a Game Boy Color or another Pokémon Pikachu 2 GS. The Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Pocket, and the Original Game Boy do not have an infrared port.

  • Follow these steps to SEND Watts:

    1. Press the A Button to turn on the screen.
    2. Use Left/Right on the Control Pad to choose the gift box icon at the top of the screen, then press the A Button.
    3. Highlight "Send" and press the A Button.
    4. Press Up/Down on the Control Pad to change the first hundreds) digit, then press the A Button.
    5. Repeat step #3 for the second (tens) and third (ones) digits. You can give a maximum of 999 Watts at a time.
    6. Line up the red section on the top of the two Pokémon Pickachus and press the A Button again to send the item to your friend.
