LAN - Connecting the Cords
How you connect the cords will depend on what kind of setup you have.
Please select the type of connection you are attempting, below:
Connecting 2 Nintendo
GameCubes Directly
- Make sure you have all the required
items, and that the Nintendo Broadband Adapters are properly
installed.
- Attach a crossover cable to the Broadband Adapter on the Nintendo
GameCube. (Not sure what a crossover cable is? link
here.)
- Attach the other end of the crossover cable to the Broadband Adapter
of the other Nintendo GameCube.
- Make sure all hookup wires and controllers to the Nintendo GameCube
are connected, and turn the system on.

Connecting 2 - 8 Nintendo
GameCubes through a Hub or Switch
- Make sure you have all the required
items, and that the Nintendo Broadband Adapters are properly
installed.
- Follow manufacturer instructions to attach the Hub or Switch to
a power outlet.
- Attach a standard ethernet cable to the Broadband Adapter on the
Nintendo GameCube.
- Attach the other end of the cable to the hub or switch. Make sure
that no wires are attached to the "Uplink" port of the
Hub or Switch, which is not used for this type of connection.
- Repeat steps 3 & 4 to connect the other Nintendo GameCubes
to different ports of the same hub.
- Make sure all hookup wires and controllers to the Nintendo GameCube
are connected, and turn the system on.
