Game Boy Advance SP - Charging the Battery
| Important Note: |
| We highly recommend you review the following precautions before
you set up and operate your Nintendo system:
|
Please Read Before Charging:
- Do not charge the battery during an electrical storm
- Always perform a full charge before the first use or after long
periods of disuse (charge until the lower LED light is OFF)
- If you have any questions about the Game Boy Advance SP's rechargeable
battery, please visit our Battery FAQ, by clicking
here.
To Charge the Battery:
- Insert the AC Adapter's DC Connecter Plug into External Extension
Connector 2 on the Game Boy Advance SP. Note:
The DC Connector Plug only fits one way, and has a slot on one
side that fits into a similar slot on the Game Boy Advance SP.
Do not force it, or it may damage the connector.

- Swing the prongs out of the AC Adapter and insert into a standard
120-volt AC wall outlet. Make sure that the prongs are fully inserted
into the outlet.

- The Recharge Indicator LED (the lower of the two indictor lights)
will light up to indicate charging. The LED will turn OFF when
the battery is fully charged. Note: You can play
games while charging, however it will take longer to recharge
the battery.

- When fully charged, gently remove the AC Adapter from the wall
outlet by grabbing the plug itself (not the cord.) Fold the prongs
back into the housing and remove the DC Connector Plug from External
Extension Connector 2.
