Nintendo DSi & Nintendo DSi XL - Getting Connected Online - At Home with a High-Speed Internet Connection and Wireless Router - Using AOSS or Wi-Fi Protected Setup™

AirStation One-Touch Secure System (AOSS)

Wireless routers with AOSS (typically Buffalo branded routers) are able to automatically detect the Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL and reconfigure the settings for both to establish a connection with the push of a button! Wireless routers with this feature will have a button on the router identified with the letters 'AOSS.' If you are not sure if your router is AOSS capable, please refer to your router's manual.

Wi-Fi Protected

A router with Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ is intended to be a simple way to configure a router's wireless security options. If you are not sure if your router is Wi-Fi Protected Setup capable, please refer to your router's manual. The Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL use two methods to connect via Wi-Fi Protected Setup.

PIN Method: A PIN (Personal Identification Number) will be given on the system. Then, this PIN will need to be entered in the settings on the router.

Button Method: You simply need to push a button on your router, then push select the "Push-Button Connection" option on the system.

If you have a Wi-Fi Protected Setup-compatible wireless router and would like to set up a connection with your system, click here for set up information.

Don't have a Wi-Fi Protected Setup-compatible router? Most routers can use the "Search for An Access Point" method to connect a Nintendo DSi online.
