Nintendo DSi & Nintendo DSi XL - Facebook integration with the Nintendo DSi Camera

The direct photo upload feature to Facebook from the Nintendo DSi Camera application will be discontinued on January 29th, 2014. It is still possible though to take photos with the Nintendo DSi camera and post them to Facebook by storing the images on an SD card and then uploading them via a computer.

Using an Internet-connected Nintendo DSi system and the Nintendo DSi Camera application, Facebook members can take pictures with either of the system's two cameras and upload their photos directly to their Facebook profile.

In order to post photos from your Nintendo DSi Camera to your Facebook profile, you must have a Facebook account, and your Nintendo DSi must be connected to the Internet (how to).

Get the Facebook integration onto your Nintendo DSi:
The Facebook integration with the Nintendo DSi Camera is free and comes with the Nintendo DSi system menu 1.4, which was made available for download on August 3, 2009. For instructions on updating the system menu of your Nintendo DSi, click here.

Post photos to your Facebook profile:

  1. On the Nintendo DSi main menu, select the Camera feature.
  2. Select "Album" to open the photo album.
  3. Drag the scroll bar left/right to scroll through the photos.
  4. Once you have selected the photo you want to upload, touch the blue Facebook icon on the sticker tool bar.
  5. Next, select "Yes" to confirm that you want to connect to the Internet.
  6. Now enter the e-mail address and password associated with your Facebook account, then click "Login."
  7. Finally, click "Yes" to confirm that you want to upload the photo, and then tap "OK" to go back to your photo album.
  8. Repeat these steps for each photo you want to upload to your Facebook profile.

Where to find your pictures on Facebook:
All photos you upload using a Nintendo DSi will automatically appear in an album titled "Photos from Nintendo DSi" in your Facebook profile.
