How to Install the Mario Kart 7 Update
Description:
Step-by-step instructions for installing the Mario Kart 7 update.
What to do:
- Perform a system update to ensure that you have the most up-to-date version. (How To)
- The system will need to have a menu version of 4.1.0-8U or higher to use the Mario Kart 7 Update. (How to Verify the Menu Version)
- Return to the HOME Menu, and select the Nintendo eShop icon.
- Once the Nintendo eShop loads, select "Mario Kart 7 Update."
- If you are unable to locate this icon on the main page of the Nintendo eShop, you can Search for "Mario Kart 7 Update" to find it. (How To)
- Select "Mario Kart 7 Update," then select "Tap Here to Download" to download the update to the Nintendo 3DS system
- Once the download is complete, exit the Nintendo eShop and begin Mario Kart 7. You should now be able to use the "Online Multiplayer" mode.
- When Mario Kart 7 is launched, "Ver. 1.1" will appear above the "Online Multiplayer" icon if the update was successful.

How to Install the Style Savvy: Trendsetters Update
Description:
Step-by-step instructions for installing the Style Savvy™: Trendsetters update.
Important Note!
- If you have purchased and downloaded Style Savvy: Trendsetters from Nintendo eShop, ensure the game is installed on your Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 3DS XL.
- Update data will be saved onto the SD Card inserted in your Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 3DS XL.
What to do:
- Perform a system update to ensure that you have the most up-to-date version. (How To)
- Return to the HOME Menu, and select the Nintendo eShop icon.
- Once the Nintendo eShop loads, you can locate the update by searching for "Style Savvy Update." (How To)
- Select "Style Savvy: Trendsetters Update," then select "Tap Here to Download" to download the update to the Nintendo 3DS.
- Once the download is complete, exit the Nintendo eShop and begin Style Savvy: Trendsetters.
- When Style Savvy: Trendsetters is launched, "Ver. 1.1" will appear on the title screen if the update was successful.
- Once downloaded, the update data will appear under Data Management within the Nintendo 3DS System Settings as Extra Data.

Important Note!
You must start AR Games using the Question Mark Card.
What to do:
- Place the Question Mark AR Card face up on a flat surface.
- Select the AR Games icon from the HOME Menu, and tap "Open."
- Press the A button and follow the on screen prompts to begin play.
- When first starting AR Games Archery and Star Pics will be the only two game modes available. After finishing Archery more games will begin to unlock!

How to Use the Star Pics Feature
Description:
Step by step instructions on how to use the Star Pics Feature.
Important Note! You must start AR Games using the Question Mark Card.
What to do:
- Place the Question Mark AR Card face up on a flat surface.
- Select the AR Games icon from the HOME Menu, and tap "Open."
- Press the A button and follow the on screen prompts.
- Select the Star Pics box in the back row.
- Remove the Question Mark Card from your playing surface.
- Place the character AR Card face up on the flat surface.
- The character poses can be changed using the A, B, and X buttons.
- Take a picture using the L or R buttons.

How to Reset AR Games Save Data
Description:
Step by step instructions on how to reset the AR Games save data.
Important Note! Data cannot be restored once it has been deleted.
What to do:
- Select the AR Games icon on the HOME Menu, and tap "Open."
- While the caution message is displayed, press and hold the L, R, A, B, X, and Y Buttons.
- Tap "Yes."
- Tap "Yes" again.
- Then tap "OK" to confirm and delete the data.
