  • Due to firmware updates and newer versions of this router, information on this page may not be the most current. We recommend that you ensure your router has the most current firmware update installed. Check with the router manufacturer for the most current information.

  • If you need help locating the settings described on this page, or have questions on how to adjust them, refer to the router's manual, the router's manufacturer, or the internet service provider that installed your router.

  • Important Note: It has been our experience that this router may require the following changes to enable a stable connection with the Wii console:

  • The Wii is not compatible with the WPA2 (AES) security setting on this particular router. If you are using WPA2 (AES), you will need to change over to one of the router's other WPA settings in order to connect with the Wii.
  • Disable the "Super-G Mode" and change the wireless channel to 1 or 11. To do this, log in to the router's setup utility and choose "Basic", then "Wireless."
  • Disable the router's "SPI" Firewall, by going to the "Advanced" section and choose "Firewall". Uncheck the option listed as "SPI enable".
  • While we have found that disabling the internal firewall can help with connecting the Wii console online, please note that Nintendo provides this information for our consumers' use. It is up to each consumer to determine what security needs they have for their own networks, and to decide how best to configure their network settings to meet those needs.
