How to get service:
- In order to find your best service option, we need to find out exactly what kind of problem your system is experiencing. To do that, we ask that you first visit the troubleshooting section for Wii U and select the issue you are experiencing. If troubleshooting does not resolve the problem, you will be presented with contact information.

- What to do in the event you have a Wii U or Wii game disc that needs replacement will depend on which company published the game. Nintendo can only offer repairs for games that are published by Nintendo (For example, Mario, Pokémon, Zelda, etc.). Many games available for Nintendo's systems are published by licensee companies.

What to do:
- From the Wii U Menu, select "System Settings."
- Using the Left Stick, select the "Internet" icon and press the A Button.
- Select "Connect to the Internet."
- The Wii U will search for available Wi-Fi networks in your area.
- Once the search completes, use the Right Stick to scroll up and down through the list of networks and select the name of your Wi-Fi network.
- If your wireless network is not in the list, or if no wireless networks are displayed, click here.
- If prompted, use the on-screen keyboard to enter your Wi-Fi network's security key (wireless password) and select "OK" when finished.
- If you receive an error message stating "The security key you entered is incorrect," the security key you entered was not a valid security key.
- If you do not know your Wi-Fi network's security key, click here for help locating it.
- The Wii U will now perform a connection test.
- If the connect test fails, select "OK" to receive an error code and detailed information on why the connection test failed. You can use our Error Code Lookup Tool to get information on resolving the error.
- If the connection test is successful, select "OK" to continue.
- When asked if you would like to make this your default connection, select "Set" if you wish this to be your default connection or "No" if you do not.
- The Wii U will now ask you to perform an update, select "Update" to perform the system update, or select "Cancel" to skip this process.
- We recommend performing the system update as this will ensure you have access to recently released applications and services.

- An existing Nintendo Network Account can only be moved to a new user on the same console where the account was originally created.
- It is not possible to log in to your existing Nintendo Network Account on a different system.
- Your Nintendo Network Account and Club Nintendo account are separate, and each has its own username and password. When prompted for Nintendo Network Account information, you will need to enter your Nintendo Network ID and password (not Club Nintendo account information).

What to Do:
- Delete the user that is associated to the existing Nintendo Network Account. (How To)
- On the HOME Menu, select the Mii in the upper-left corner to reach the user select screen. Select "New User."
- When prompted, select "Add User From an Existing Nintendo Network ID."
- Enter the Parental Control PIN if required, then select "OK."
- Select "Link an Existing ID."
- Select "OK" to verify that you are not under the age of 18. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian will need to complete the remaining steps.
- Enter the Nintendo Network ID to be linked, then select "OK."
- Enter the e-mail address associated to the Nintendo Network Account, then select "OK" twice.
- The system will verify that the information is correct. When prompted, select "Link" to link the existing Nintendo Network Account to the system.
- When asked to associate a Mii to the account, select "OK" twice.
- Select "Choose from Existing Mii Characters."
- If you choose to associate a new Mii, select "Create/Receive" to create one. (How To)
- Any Mii characters already associated to the NNA will appear. Tap the one you want, then select "Register" twice.
- Select "OK" to complete the transfer process.

What to Do:

- When prompted, select "Link a Nintendo Network ID."
- This option is located under "View/Modify User Information" in the User Settings.
- Enter the Parental Control PIN if required, then select "OK."
- Select "Link an Existing ID."
- Select "OK" to verify that you are not under the age of 18. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian will need to complete the remaining steps.
- Enter the Nintendo Network ID to be linked, then select "OK."
- Enter the password associated to the Nintendo Network ID, then select "OK."
- Enter the e-mail address associated to the Nintendo Network Account, then select "OK."
- Select "OK" one more time to confirm.
- The system will verify that the information is correct, and link the existing Nintendo Network Account to the system.

- Select "OK" again to accept the zip code.
- Select the city, county, and state that best match your location, then select "OK." Select "OK" again to save your location.

- The download will begin automatically. Select "Continue" to return to the Nintendo eShop Menu.

- Dampen a clean, soft, cotton cloth with water.
- Use straight strokes and wipe the disc (non-labeled side) from the inside rim to the outside rim.
- Using a dry part of the cloth, repeat step 2 to dry the disc.
- After all of the water is gone, let the disc sit for at least two minutes to completely dry before inserting it into the Wii U console.
- Do not use solvents such as: benzine, window cleaner, paint thinner, anti-static aerosol spray or abrasive cleaners to clean your disc.
- Do not use machines designed to clean discs or remove scratches. These types of devices have been known to damage the surface of the disc.
- After cleaning, be sure to store your games properly. Storing games in cases other than the ones they came in, or storing them outside their cases, may damage the disc.

What to do:
- Turn the Wii U Console and the Wii U GamePad on.
- If the Wii U GamePad is still charging, operate it with the AC adapter connected until it is fully charged.
- Press the SYNC buttons on the Wii U Console and the Wii U GamePad to pair them.
- Press the SYNC button on the Wii U Console.
- Use the GamePad stylus to press the SYNC button on the back of the controller.
- Enter the symbols shown on the TV screen in order, starting from the left, on the Wii U GamePad GamePad.
- If the Wii U GamePad screen is off, press the power button and then the SYNC button.
- If a screen like this is shown, press the SYNC button on the Wii U Console again and start over from step 3 above.
- Make sure you are close enough to the console and move closer if necessary.

- While on the Wii U Menu, press the SYNC button on the Wii U console to display the controller pairing screen.
- You can also pair controllers from the HOME Menu.
- Press the SYNC Button on the console again until the screen shows the controller type you want to pair.
- Press the SYNC Button on the Wii Remote.
- The Player LED on the controller will light up when the pairing is complete.
- The Player LED indicates the player number of the controller currently in use.
