Usernames and Passwords
- I forgot my password. Can I reset my username or password?
Please use the Forgot Password option on the Club Nintendo homepage. You will be asked to provide the email address on your Club Nintendo account. An email will be sent to with your username and a link to reset your password.
Please note that members under the age of 13 and members without an email address on file must have their password reset by the Family Account Administrator.
- I'm a Family Account Administrator. How do I reset the password for a family member who doesn't have an email address on file or a child under 13?
Visit the Club Nintendo section called My Account Settings and select "Edit" next to your Family Account. View the family member profile you would like to update and select "Edit family member." You will be able to select a new password for this user. Since no email address is on file for this user, no email will be sent notifying them of this change. Please let this user know what their new password is.
- I haven't received my Forgot Password email. What do I do?
If you are a Club Nintendo member with your email address on file, please allow up to five hours for your Forgot Password email to arrive. If you still don't receive the email, it's possible that your email program is mistaking our email for junk mail. You may want to check your Junk Mail or Trash folders in case the email was routed there. If you do not find the email, try adding registration@noa.nintendo.com to your email address book and use the Forgot Password option again.
If you are a Club Nintendo member without your email address on file, you will need to speak to your Family Account Administrator to have your password reset.
If you are a Club Nintendo member under the age of 13, you will need to speak to your Family Account Administrator to have your password reset.
If you still have not received the Forgot Password email please contact us via email by clicking here. You will need to provide us with all pertinent
information (name, email address, etc.). Not providing all of the pertinent information will increase the time it takes to find a solution and receive a reply. You can also call us at 1-800-255-3700. Representatives are available from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Pacific Time, 7 days a week.
- My original My Nintendo username and password no longer work. Why?

Registering for Club Nintendo
- How does Nintendo use the personal information I provide (i.e. name, address, etc.)?
Nintendo respects the privacy of our visitors and is committed to protecting the information we collect about you online. To further this commitment, we have adopted a corporate wide Online Privacy Policy that guides how we collect, use, disclose and protect the information you provide. Please be assured that Nintendo does not sell or rent personal information to third parties. We may share personal information with third-party vendors who help us perform various internal functions necessary to operate our business, but we limit the information shared to that which is needed to carry out these functions.
- My child wants to sign up for Club Nintendo. Why do I have to sign up too?
Club Nintendo does not collect any personally identifying information from members under 13. Since we do not have any personal information to tie a user to a profile, we require that the member's parent or guardian create a Club Nintendo account to which we associate the user profile. Once you complete the registration process you will be presented with the option to create a Family Account and set permissions for each family member you add.
Please click here to view our Privacy Policy.
- I somehow ended up with two Club Nintendo profiles. Can these be merged together?
Please email Nintendo's Consumer Service Department or call 1-800-255-3700 for further assistance. Representatives are available from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Pacific Time, 7 days a week. Be sure to include the email address and username associated to both Club Nintendo profiles. Also include which of the two profiles you would like to keep as your main account.
- As an Account Administrator, how many family members can I add to my account?
An Account Administrator can add up to seven (7) members to a Family Account for a total of eight (8) members.
- What is the screen name used for?
Your screen name is used in our Tech Support Forums. Because this name could be exposed to the public, please do not use your real name. For security reasons, your screen name must also be different than your username. - Do I need to be a Club Nintendo member to participate in the Tech Support Forums?
You must be a Club Nintendo member to post in our Tech Support Forums, although anyone may browse the Forums. In addition, you will have to have selected a screen name and accepted our Forums' Terms of Use.
- I'm under the age of 13 and my parent or guardian never received the permission email. What do I do now?
If there is a chance you may have entered your parent's or guardian's email address incorrectly you may want to try again. If not, it is possible that your parent's or guardian's email program is mistaking our email for spam. You may want to ask your parent or guardian to check their Junk Mail or Trash folders in case the email was routed there. If the email is still not there, ask your parent or guardian to visit the Club Nintendo registration page and create a new account. Once a new Club Nintendo account is created you can be added to the Family Account.
- I'm under the age of 13 and my parent or guardian didn't approve my registration. Is there anything else I can do to become a Club Nintendo member?
We're sorry, your parent or guardian must approve your membership and become a Club Nintendo member before you may have an active Club Nintendo profile.
- I registered for Club Nintendo, but didn't receive the email to confirm my email address. What do I do now?
Please allow up to five hours (5) for your confirmation email to arrive. If you still don't receive the email, it's possible that your email program is mistaking our email for junk mail. You may want to check your Junk Mail or Trash folders in case the email was routed there.
You can request a new confirmation email be sent to you by attempting to log in using the username and password you selected. The message that appears explaining that you must confirm your email address will have the option to have this email resent.
If you still have not received the confirmation email please contact us via email by clicking here. You will need to provide us with all pertinent information (name, email address used when setting up your Club Nintendo account, etc.). Representatives are available from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Pacific Time, 7 days a week.
Club Nintendo Account Management

Your permissions have been set by your parent or guardian and can only be updated by them. Have your parent or guardian log in to their Club Nintendo account and make changes for you.
- Can I deactivate a Club Nintendo account?

However, the user's preferences and login information will still be associated to the account which can be reactivated at a later time. If you are interested only in being removed from Nintendo's mailing lists, visit your Communications Page and uncheck the box titled "I want to receive email communications from Nintendo."
If you are still interested in deactivating your account, contact your Club Nintendo Family Account Administrator.
If you are a Club Nintendo Account Administrator go to My Account Settings and select "Edit" next to your Family Account. View the family member profile you would like to deactivate and select "Deactivate this person's account." Note: A Club Nintendo Account Administrator is unable to deactivate their own account. - Why is my address displayed differently than how I entered it?
Nintendo uses a program that standardizes each address to conform with the Postal Service's requirements for format and content. The program does this by:
- Adding missing address information
- Using standard city names and two-character state/province abbreviations
- Correcting any misspelled address elements
- Converting addresses into a format readable by USPS (United States Postal Service) and CPC (Canada Post Corporation) automation equipment

You can maintain or update your Address Book from your My Account Settings page or during the reward order check out process.

Intend to Buy surveys can only be taken for games that have not yet been released. When an Intend to Buy survey is available, the option to take it will appear in the Intend to Buy list. - Why should I register my Nintendo products?

- Where do I find the game product identification number (PIN)?
The PIN for your game can be found on a separate card inside the box or case the game was packaged in. Not all games may be registered.
- Where do I find my system's serial number?
You will need to locate the serial number on the back of your system. The serial number begins with one or two letters (i.e. TW, LU, UG) followed by a sequence of numbers. If the last number of the serial number is slightly shaded or in a box, please be sure to include it as well.
- Can I register my accessories (ex. Wii Balance Board, Wii Remote, Nunchuk, etc.)
No. Accessories cannot be registered.
- Do I need to register my system with Club Nintendo to activate the manufacturers warranty?
No. Warranty registration is done at the point of sale. However, if you register the serial number on your Nintendo DSi, Wii, or Nintendo DS Lite on Club Nintendo you will receive a free 90-day warranty extension! This 90-day warranty extension is exclusive to newly-purchased Nintendo DSi, Wii, and Nintendo DS Lite systems.
- Can I register DSiWare, Wii Shop Channel games, and Wii Channels that I purchase?
Yes! But, you must first link your Nintendo DSi Shop and Wii Shop Channel account to your Club Nintendo account. Once this link is created, the games and applications you download will automatically be added to your list of registered games.
If you're not seeing your linked DSiWare, Wii Shop Channel games, or Wii Channels, click here.
Please note that this Nintendo DSi Shop/Wii Shop Channel/Club Nintendo link is not created when you register your serial number using Club Nintendo's Product Registration program. This link is created through the Nintendo DSi (Nintendo DSi Shop) and Wii Console (Wii Shop Channel). Click here for more information on how to link your Wii Shop Channel to your Club Nintendo account, and click here for help linking to your Nintendo DSi Shop account.
- Why don't my DSiWare, Wii Shop Channel games, and Wii Channel downloads appear in my registered games list?
The games and applications you download through your Nintendo DSi Shop or Wii Shop Channel will automatically be added to your list of registered products once you've linked your Nintendo DSi Shop (wireless broadband connection required) or Wii Shop Channel to your Club Nintendo account.
Click here for more information on how to link your Wii Shop Channel to your Club Nintendo account, and click here for help linking to your Nintendo DSi Shop account.
Click here if you have created this link and your registered DSiWare, Wii Shop Channel games, and Wii Channels are not appearing in your Club Nintendo account.
- Why am I not getting a survey for my registered DSiWare, Wii Shop Channel games, and Wii Channel downloads?
There are two types of surveys for earning Coins:
"Product Registration" surveys, which provide us with information on how you purchased the product; and "Post Play" surveys, which allow you to share your opinion of the game, channel, or application after you have used it. Because we already know where you acquired the game, channel, or application, the only survey for registered DSiWare, Wii Shop Channel games, and Wii Channels are "Post Play." So that you have enough time to use the game, channel, or application before responding to the survey, please allow 7 days for the "Post Play" survey to appear in your "To-Do" list. If a DSiWare download, Wii Shop Channel game, or Wii Channel was activated manually for you by Nintendo, it will still take about 7 days from the time we registered it for you before the survey will appear and you can earn Coins.
- I've linked my Club Nintendo profile to my Nintendo DSi Shop and Wii Shop Channel. Why aren't my DSiWare, Wii Shop Channel games, and Wii Channels showing up in my list of registered products?

My computer crashed while taking a survey or I accidentally cancelled out of a survey. How do I get back to that survey?
If you were unable to complete a product registration survey, visit the To-Do List in your Club Nintendo account where you'll find the option to take any outstanding surveys.
I own more than one of the same game. Can I register the same type of game more than once?
Each member of your Club Nintendo Family can register one of each game in their individual account.
I registered a game and was not offered a survey. Why?
While many games can be registered, not all games will be eligible for surveys. For more information on what games qualify for surveys, click here.
Does my system qualify for the 90-day warranty extension?
If you register the serial number for your newly-purchased Nintendo DSi, Wii, or Nintendo DS Lite in your Club Nintendo Account, you will receive a free 90-day warranty extension. A short survey may be required. Once you complete the registration of your newly-purchased Nintendo DSi, Wii, or Nintendo DS Lite, you will receive a confirmation explaining your warranty has been extended.
Reasons your system would not qualify for the warranty extension can include:
- The serial number was already registered and received the 90-day warranty extension.
- The serial number is for a refurbished or factory certified system either purchased second-hand or that has already been received back from a repair.
- The serial number has been reported by a retailer as a returned system.
- The system was repaired prior to completing the Product Registration process on Club Nintendo.
This 90-day warranty extension is exclusive to newly-purchased Nintendo DSi, Wii, and Nintendo DS Lite systems only and not available for any other system, except for Repaired and Advance Replacement product that receive a new one-year warranty from Nintendo. If your existing warranty with the 90-day extension is longer than a year, the longer date will supersede the one-year warranty.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Wii or Nintendo DSi, Wii, or Nintendo DS Lite 90-day warranty extension, please contact us via email by clicking here. You will need to provide us with all pertinent information (name, email address, serial number, etc.). Not providing all of the pertinent information will increase the time it takes to find a solution and receive a reply. You can also call us at 1-800-255-3700. Representatives are available from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Pacific Time, 7 days a week.

Coins and Status (Gold, Platinum)
- How can I reach Gold or Platinum status?
Gold or Platinum status is based on the number of Coins earned in a Club Nintendo year. Each Club Nintendo year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30. If you earn 300 Coins during a Club Nintendo year you will reach Gold status. Earn 600 Coins during a Club Nintendo year and reach Platinum status! If you are part of a Club Nintendo family account, the Coins that each family member earns are combined, so you have a better chance to reach Gold or Platinum status.
Club Nintendo members or family accounts that reach Gold or Platinum status by the end of the Club Nintendo year will become eligible to receive a special reward. Watch for an email and details on club.nintendo.com shortly after June 30 for an announcement of these special rewards. You will have a limited time to accept that you would like to receive this special reward.
Your status will reset annually on June 30.
- Why was my Gold or Platinum status reset?
On June 30 of each Club Nintendo year, your status will be reset to allow you to begin earning Coins towards the next Club Nintendo year's Gold or Platinum status rewards.
- If I redeem my Coins for a reward, will I lose my Elite Status?
No. Redeeming Coins does not effect your status.
- Why are my Coins listed with an expiration date?
Unredeemed Coins will expire two (2) full Club Nintendo years (July 1 - June 30), plus whatever is left in the current Club Nintendo year, after they are earned. Example: Coins earned in March 2009 would not expire until June 30, 2011.
Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for more information.
- Other than product registration and rewards, what else is available with Club Nintendo?

Warranty Registration
- How do I register my system to get the manufacturer's warranty?
There is no need for you to do anything or send anything in to activate your warranty. Most retailers, including online retailers, utilize electronic registration, which is a means of gathering purchase and warranty information on new systems. When you purchase your Nintendo system at a retail store which uses electronic registration, the sales clerk scans the serial number barcode at the register, which then electronically sends the information we need for warranty purposes (such as type of system, the date the system was purchased, etc.). This information is then added to our records, and can be viewed by our representatives and repair technicians should your system need repair. Information received does not identify you personally. Nintendo DSi, Wii, and Nintendo DS Lite owners can register newly-purchased Nintendo DSi, Wii, or Nintendo DS Lite serial numbers in a Club Nintendo account and receive a free 90-day warranty extension! A short survey may be required. You may be required to complete a short survey. This 90-day warranty extension is exclusive to newly-purchased Nintendo DSi, Wii, and Nintendo DS Lite systems only and not available for any other systems.
Nintendo DSi owners can also qualify to receive 160 Coins by completing a short survey and linking their Nintendo DSi Shop to their Club Nintendo account (wireless broadband connection required). Click here for more information.

- What if my system wasn't electronically registered at the store?
You can use our warranty lookup tool to determine if your new system has already been registered and its warranty status. In the rare case that your new system was not registered at the point-of-sale, your warranty is determined by your purchase date. There is no need to register or send in anything to activate your warranty. If your system needs repair, a representative will assist you with your repair options based on your date of purchase. If you have any questions or concerns, please email Nintendo's Consumer Service Department.
