Here are a few tips before you take the stage!

Princess Peach’s hopes of an exciting night out get squashed when Grape and the Sour Bunch attack the Sparkle Theater. With these bad actors spoiling the plays, Peach and the theater’s guardian, Stella, team up to save the day.

We’ve put together a few tips for the Princess Peach™: Showtime! game to help you get warmed up and ready to take center stage!

Searching for secrets

All sorts of collectibles are waiting to be found in the Sparkle Theater. As you’re going through a play, be on the lookout for:

Coins: Ah, coins—there’s something comforting about them, wouldn’t you say? Once you collect a bunch, go to the Lobby Shop on the first floor of the theater to redeem them for new dresses and ribbons. Coins can also do other stuff that we’ll get into a bit later.

Bows and Ribbons: Each play has a Bow or Ribbon that unlocks a special outfit for either Peach or Stella. You’ll get these items by finding and helping a certain Theet with a top hat. (How does this Theet get into so much trouble?!)

Sparkle Gems: Several of these sparkly collectibles can be found in each play. You’ll need them to open boss doors on each floor. Oh, and if you find all Sparkle Gems in a specific play, a special picture will be added to Peach’s photo album. (If you don’t have the photo album yet, talk to the photographer on the first floor.)

Remember that you can flip through your Album and change outfits in your wardrobe when you’re in the lobby area. Just press the + Button!

OK, but how do I find this stuff?

Ah, excellent question! You must be channeling your inner Detective Peach, gumshoe.

When you’re playing, remember this tip: If something looks sus, check it out! For example, you may see one candle that’s unlit or a few flowerpots that don’t have flowers in them. Try standing next to these oddities and tap the B Button. You never know what may happen…

Secrets also love hiding in hidden pathways. Be on the lookout for paths that lead behind the background. (Does that make it the back-background?)

Oh, and when in doubt…break stuff. If you see breakable objects like boxes or pots, try using Peach’s ribbon or transformation abilities to see what’s inside.

Stepping into the spotlight

After Peach has transformed in a play, keep an eye out for small patches on the ground that seem a little different. They may stand out as cracks, wooden planks, or a circle about the size of—oh, let’s say—a secret platform that may take you underground. Look for a faint spotlight that brightens up when you get closer. And if your controller has a vibration feature (and it’s turned on in the game), you may feel your controller start to gently shake.

Once you’re standing on the spot, try pressing the ZL Button or ZR Button to strike a pose to see what happens.

Speaking of transformations…

There are 10 different transformations in game, each having their own different set of skills. It can be easy to forget which button does what, but Stella has your back! Once you’ve transformed, you may see a prompt in the lower right side of the screen to press the X Button. This will give you a nice refresher on what moves you have and how to do them.

Action Rehearsals

Once you’ve completed each floor, you’ll unlock different challenges called Action Rehearsals. To begin, just chat with a dapper Theet standing near the center of each floor to see which Action Rehearsal is available and what the objective is. But be careful, if you take damage, it could end the rehearsal!

Completing these challenges can unlock different rewards like coins and outfits.

Having trouble?

Hey, everyone needs a helping hand once in a while! If some parts of the game feel too difficult, talk to the Theets on the first floor until a Staff Member offers you a Heart Charm (Stella may offer it to you as well). Once you put it on, Peach will get extra tough with three more hearts. And just talk to the same Staff Member to take it off.

Oh, and if you lose all your hearts in a level, you can also restart at a checkpoint by exchanging 10 coins. If this happens a few times, you may get the option to use all the coins you found in a play to complete it.

Just for fun

Yep, these little details are just for fun! They only happen when Peach is not transformed.

• If you see a set of stairs with railings, try walking into them. Some of those railings are the perfect size for Peach to hop on and slide down. Sometimes she’ll even make a show of it!

• If you see Theets dancing away, try walking next to them and then let go of the Control Stick. You may be treated to some surprise moves from Peach and Stella. Get it, girl!
